• The college accepts only the Centralized Pre-admission Form of the University of Delhi (for regular courses)
• For admission on the basis of Excellence in Sports and Extracurricular Activities, candidates are encouraged to procure the Prospectus to obtain an overview of the college and details of the selection criteria which would form the basis of admission.
• After the cut-off lists are announced, the candidates selected for admission to the college are required to fill the Miranda House Admission Form attached to the Prospectus before they can be admitted to the college. This form is available along with the Prospectus at the time of admission at the college counter

Eligibility

• Age Requirement: As per University rules.
• Candidates who want to reappear to improve their marks in order to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria are not considered for admission.

Admission on the basis of Extra Curricular Activities

1. Sports:
   • All candidates under the sports category should apply on special yellow coloured application forms for sports available in college office, and should attach to their applications a recent photograph and attested copies of sports certificates, newspaper reports and other relevant documents.
   • Short â€" listing of candidates under the sports category is strictly according to the University guidelines prescribed in rule 8A of the Bulletin of Information of the University.
   • Candidates selected through a process of screening (on the basis of certificates etc.), trials and finally an interview with the Special Admissions Committee (SAC).
   • The decision of the SAC will be final.

1. Cultural Activities:
   • The college admits a few students in the cultural categories of Drama, Debate, Music, Fine Arts and Photography.
   • Candidates with outstanding talent/performance in these areas should apply on the special blue coloured application forms for cultural activities available in the college office.
   • The candidates should not attach any certificates etc. at the time of application but should bring these along for auditions/trials.
   • Selection is on the basis of auditions/trials (which may have several elimination rounds) and an interview with the Special Admissions Committee (SAC).
   • The decision of the SAC will be final.
   • Upon admission into the college, the successful candidates will become members of the society that has recommended their admission and will have to mandatorily participate in its activities on a regular basis.

1. Reserved Category
   1. 15% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled class and 7.5 % of the total seats are reserved for scheduled tribes.
   2. 5% of the total seats are reserved for children/ widows/ wives of personnel of the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces killed or disabled in action or while on duty.
   3. 3% of the total seats are reserved for physically challenged students.

Admissions in the reserved category are through the Office of Dean of Student Welfare. Reservation for OBC Category is in accordance with University directive.

Admission Form All selected candidates are required to fill the College Admission Form attached to the Prospectus. Candidates who have applied using the Centralized Pre-admission Form or the College Online Admission Form are additionally required to procure the Prospectus and fill the Green Admission Form attached to it.

Submission of Original Certificates

All candidates, at the time of admission to the college, are required to submit the following certificates in original:

1. Mark Sheet giving details of marks secured in the qualifying Class XII Examination
2. A recent Character Certificate issued by the Head of the school/college last attended
3. Date of Birth Certificate, preferably the Class X certificate issued by the Examination Board.
4. A Provisional Certificate of the last Public Examination passed/ Transfer Certificate from the school or College Last attended.
5. Certificate of having passed Hindi in those cases where the student has studied Hindi up to class VIII
6. One recent passport size photograph.
